Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge | Travel. OK. com. Established in 1. Approximately 8. 5 percent of the refuge is bottomland hardwood forest. Wildlife observation, birding and photography are encouraged, while fishing and archery/muzzle loader deer hunts, as well as rabbit, squirrel and duck hunting is available. Off- road vehicles are prohibited. For those visitors looking for a place to take an afternoon walk, the Cussetah Bottoms Boardwalk area provides ample opportunity to walk through the bottomland hardwood .. Established in 1.
Approximately 8. 5 percent of the refuge is bottomland hardwood forest. Wildlife observation, birding and photography are encouraged, while fishing and archery/muzzle loader deer hunts, as well as rabbit, squirrel and duck hunting is available. Off- road vehicles are prohibited. For those visitors looking for a place to take an afternoon walk, the Cussetah Bottoms Boardwalk area provides ample opportunity to walk through the bottomland hardwood forest and enjoy the great outdoors. Also located in the vicinity is an asphalt trail, restroom facility and pavilion. A wildlife viewing blind is located along the southern asphalt trail.
